Forest Hills Cemetery was founded in 1848. Since then, it has been a large green space in which urban residents can go and reconnect with nature. Many famous people are buried here, including William Lloyd Garrison, Anne Sexton and E. E. Cummings. Every year, the Lantern Festival is held here in remembrance of all the loved ones buried underground.
