Formation of Earth

Started out with only two elements, Hydrgen and helium gas. These elements formed stars that burned those elements into nuclear fusion reactions. Later on a disk of the same material, which grew white-hot from the great forces. That new star became our sun. The glowing disk gave rise to Earth and the sister planets.

When the Earth formed, the sun ignited and the process of ignition was very powerful. It was enough to blow away a lot of the gaseous part of the protoplanetary disk. Chunks, boulders, and planetesimals were left behind. Then they are collected into stable bodies that orbited. The third one of these was our Earth. Later a very large planetesimal hit Earth and blew its rocky mantle into space. The planet got most of it back after a while, but some of it was collected into a second planetesimal circling Earth. It was known as the Moon.
