A main goal of the Government was to connect the Mississippi River and Louisana.

The French had outpost on the Great Lakes, and had great trade. The war all strted when Edward Braddock was ambused and routed by the French, in July of 1755. The war ended with many British deaths, so the Brtish withdrawled becuase of humiliation and decestation.
